# Opti.Tax Release 22.0.5: Further news about the update
**Since 11 May, the latest [Opti.Tax Update](../../en/products/opti-tax/index.md) is now available. It introduces new functions and interfaces and once again helps to boost efficiency. In particular, those using the Property Tax module will benefit from numerous improvements, updates and enhancements. There has already been an episode of „hsp live at 11“ on the subject of Opti.Tax Release 22.0.5. However, so many further new features have been added since then that a second stream on the topic is warranted.**

The first change concerns the design of the [Opti.Tax Cloud](../../en/products/opti-tax-cloud/index.md). Until now, staff on the client side have been presented with hsp’s Opti.Tax design. To ensure these individuals can visually recognise their own practice, the design can now be customised. To do this, the hsp team requires an email address belonging to the practice which is not used for communication with clients and does not belong to a specific member of staff. This email address will be used to create an administrator account. Through this account, a member of staff at the law firm can access the admin area.

This section will be further expanded in future. Currently, three buttons are displayed: Legal Notice, Privacy Policy and Colours & Logos. Clicking on „Colours & Logos“ triggers a message stating that both the Legal Notice and the Privacy Policy are missing. The reason for this is that, under the previous design, the hsp’s Legal Notice and Privacy Policy applied. If the firm’s design elements are used – for example, the firm’s logo – the firm’s Legal Notice and Privacy Policy must be uploaded. Access to ‘Colours & Logos’ will only be enabled once this has been done.

On the „Colours & Logos“ page, the first option displayed is the ability to upload a logo file in SVG format. This is a highly compressed format that takes up little storage space and therefore loads quickly. Below this, a wide range of colour options are listed. A total of nine colours can be specified, with the primary and secondary colours being the most important. These can be used to customise the buttons and the overall colour scheme.

## Process optimisation

In terms of performance, the new update has significantly improved speed. The hsp team has invested a great deal of time in these optimisations. In addition, a clever usability enhancement has been implemented: the detailed data entry area now automatically moves as you navigate using the Tab or Enter key. This means that when entering data in a project, you no longer need to scroll manually with the mouse once you have reached the bottom of the visible form area by pressing the Tab key. Previously, pressing the Tab key again would cause the cursor to jump out of the visible area at the bottom. Now the form scrolls automatically, making data entry more convenient and allowing it to be completed in one go.

For anyone working in the field of [Procedural documentation](../../en/process-documentation-2/index.md) There are two new features in the pipeline. When creating a process, the first level of process steps is now also listed in the table of contents. This was not the case previously. Furthermore, there were numerous requests for documentation not to have to be checked directly within Opti.Tax, but for checks to be carried out via the Opti.Tax Cloud. It is now possible to assign tasks to individual staff members not only internally, but also externally via the Opti.Tax Cloud.

## Updating the Excel templates

In addition, new Excel templates have been published on hsp.community. The template for the asset-based valuation method, in particular, had been requested by many law firms. All new templates can now be imported into Opti.Tax. The import function has been kept backwards compatible, so that existing templates already in use by clients can still be imported. A new addition is the template for the income approach, which can be used not in the federal model but in a state model.

A note from Paul: So far, the software has only been able to generate the declaration of findings for the federal model. The development team is already working on gradually integrating the state models as well.

Next item: the brand-new ADDISON OneClick interface. If you would like this extension, please submit a ticket to hsp Support via the Help/Support menu options in the software. Ticket content: Please extend the licence to include the ADDISON OneClick interface. We will then take care of it.
