# Update: New features in Opti.Tax Property Tax
**We haven’t danced into May yet, but we’ve still got plenty to celebrate. For example, the success of the [Property tax software: Opti.Tax Property Tax](../../en/product/opti-tax-property-tax/index.md), which is recommended by German tax advisers’ associations for good reason. One of the reasons is that hsp is constantly improving the software. In the May update, we discuss Opti.Tax Release 22.0.5. Among other things, we look at property tax, the processing of which is made even easier by new functions. Users can also look forward to new interfaces. Paul Liese guides us through the presentation of the new features.**

The hsp development team have been hard at work on Opti.Tax right up to the very last second. The latest version has just been installed, and Paul is presenting it in the livestream. The first screenshot showing external data sources features the ADDISON OneClick interface, which is now integrated. Also new are the interfaces to DATEV Basisdaten Online and Simba. The Wiadok interface is also visible. It will soon be possible to retrieve client data via a web interface on the practice’s website. The practice can customise the interface’s appearance to match its own design.

This form can be used to automate data capture. The client number can also be requested so that the data can be automatically assigned within the system. Before submission, the client may be required to consent to the further processing of the data and to a chargeable order. This eliminates the need for a separate approval process. Once the data has been submitted, a confirmation process is carried out via email. The objects can then be created on the interface.

In the software, Paul now launches the „Create client“ process. There, he can select „Wiadok“ and import the entered data into the software. At the same time, he can link the client directly to the Opti.Tax Cloud. When a new user is created, their role can be defined. With the „Client employee“ option, the person has access to all data belonging to the respective client. There is also the „External user“ option. This can now be linked to a client.

## Digital signatures and retrieval of land registry data

When a new project is created, documents can be selected for approval by the client. A new feature in the approval process is the option „Digital signature \(qualified and personalised\)“. This type of signature satisfies the requirement for written form. For example, a tax return requires a legally binding signature. To meet this requirement, a signature that is qualified and personalised is needed. When the project is created, the client’s cloud interface will display a message stating that such a signature is required. The client can view the document, raise any objections or complete it, then start the signing process and sign it. Incidentally, another new feature is that the practice can now send out a document for the client to complete. This saves the practice a great deal of time.

Also new: the „New plots in the’ function [Opti.Tax Cloud](../../en/products/opti-tax-cloud/index.md) “Create’. This function enables the practice to ask the client to enter their property details into the Opti.Tax Cloud. To demonstrate this, Paul switches to the web view on the client’s page. There, the client sees the task to create the properties. This can be done easily via a clear input form. Once the client has marked the task as completed, the properties can be accessed in Opti.Tax.

## Convenient ‘sign-me’ registration

Let us now return to the subject of qualified and personalised signatures. If a client requests such a signature, the person using the system on the client’s side can initiate the signing process. There, the email address and telephone number are entered and cross-checked against the Bundesdruckerei database. If the details are already on file and the person is registered, they can proceed with the signature immediately. If they are not yet registered, a Video-Ident procedure is initiated. This is used to verify their personal details.

In addition, many more features are planned. Much of the feedback received from users is being incorporated into these updates. Anyone with comments or requests can post them on the hsp.community. In this way, the software is continually improved and adapted to meet practical requirements.
