Jobs at hsp: Questions and Answers

To put it simply: hsp Software has been developing specialist accounting software since 1991 – in other words, software for everything to do with tax, workflows and documentation. All of this is used by professionals in tax and audit firms, companies (particularly tax departments) and similar sectors. At least, that’s what we claim. But actually, that’s just a pretext for making companies and organisations safer, more efficient and more successful. Otherwise, we try to get through the day in as good a mood as possible.

To be honest? As long as you’re convincing and it’s not intrusive or illegal, we’ll give you free rein. However, we’d prefer it if you sent an email to the designated contact person, including all the necessary documents. Use the cover letter to showcase your personality. We’d rather see a few mistakes and authenticity than a slick, soulless, run-of-the-mill ChatGPT template.

Yes. Even if there are no suitable vacancies advertised, you are welcome to send us a speculative application. Please bear in mind, however, that we are a medium-sized company and are not constantly looking for new colleagues across all our departments. If there are no vacancies advertised, the likelihood of receiving an invitation for an interview is rather low.

We don’t know all the other employers in Hamburg, so we can’t say for certain. Above all, here at hsp, we try to treat one another openly and honestly. Many of us have been here for quite some time, some for almost 20 years. If it’s a good fit, then it’s a good fit – and if not, that’s fine too. If you’re fully committed and put your heart into it, you can find an employer for life with us.

That is possible. However, there are exceptions. As a new entrant to the workforce, you will receive the monthly non-cash benefit; it is not intended for managers. Working from home is not possible for tasks that must be carried out in the office (for example, for technical or physical reasons). And flexible working arrangements reach their limits when a team needs to work together. Not everyone can simply do as they please in such situations. We do our best to ensure everyone is happy. But, as is so often the case, the more you contribute, the more freedom and benefits you’ll enjoy.
