Here’s how you’ll get started with us as …
Trainee

Would you like to do your apprenticeship at a company that offers you a thorough training programme and good career prospects, with the option of a permanent role? Don’t want to join a large corporation where you’ll only be given token tasks? Then we might be just the place for you.

We place great importance on helping you find your dream job, step by step. You’ll learn through practical experience and always have dedicated contacts who are there for you. Discover your strengths with us, develop them further and lay the foundations for a successful career.

Student

Have you just started your degree or are you halfway through, and are you looking for a place where you can apply and develop your skills in a practical setting? We can offer you that opportunity. We involve working students in our day-to-day operations. Instead of just doing odd jobs, you’ll be given real tasks and responsibility. That way, you’ll really learn something that will stand you in good stead for the future.

Of course, we’ll be there for you throughout your time with us. Whether you have technical questions, want to learn something new or are curious about other trades, we’re always here to listen to your concerns.

Specialist

Have you been trained specifically for the role described in the job advert? Perhaps you’ve already spent a few years in a similar role and are looking to take the next step up the career ladder? Then apply to join us. Show us what you’re made of, and we’ll see if we’re a good fit. We’re innovative, digital, forward-thinking and keen to experiment; we foster an open and dynamic corporate culture, reward commitment and are always on the lookout for good ideas. If that sounds exactly like you, let’s have a chat.

Career changers

You haven’t actually worked as a software developer or tester, or in marketing, but do you think you could make a contribution here? We’re open to people changing careers. If you come across a job vacancy that sounds like the right fit for you, but you don’t have the relevant qualifications or professional experience, don’t let that stop you. Write to us explaining why you’re still the right person for the role. It might just be a good fit, and you could start your new career with us, with all the support you need.

Jobs at hsp: Questions and Answers

To put it simply: hsp Software has been developing specialist accounting software since 1991 – in other words, software for everything to do with tax, workflows and documentation. All of this is used by professionals in tax and audit firms, companies (particularly tax departments) and similar sectors. At least, that’s what we claim. But actually, that’s just a pretext for making companies and organisations safer, more efficient and more successful. Otherwise, we try to get through the day in as good a mood as possible.

To be honest? As long as you’re convincing and it’s not intrusive or illegal, we’ll give you free rein. However, we’d prefer it if you sent an email to the designated contact person, including all the necessary documents. Use the cover letter to showcase your personality. We’d rather see a few mistakes and authenticity than a slick, soulless, run-of-the-mill ChatGPT template.

Yes. Even if there are no suitable vacancies advertised, you are welcome to send us a speculative application. Please bear in mind, however, that we are a medium-sized company and are not constantly looking for new colleagues across all our departments. If there are no vacancies advertised, the likelihood of receiving an invitation for an interview is rather low.

We don’t know all the other employers in Hamburg, so we can’t say for certain. Above all, here at hsp, we try to treat one another openly and honestly. Many of us have been here for quite some time, some for almost 20 years. If it’s a good fit, then it’s a good fit – and if not, that’s fine too. If you’re fully committed and put your heart into it, you can find an employer for life with us.

That is possible. However, there are exceptions. As a new entrant to the workforce, you will receive the monthly non-cash benefit; it is not intended for managers. Working from home is not possible for tasks that must be carried out in the office (for example, for technical or physical reasons). And flexible working arrangements reach their limits when a team needs to work together. Not everyone can simply do as they please in such situations. We do our best to ensure everyone is happy. But, as is so often the case, the more you contribute, the more freedom and benefits you’ll enjoy.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to write to us Email. You’ll also find our social media channels in the top corner. Feel free to follow us and make use of the comments or chat features.
