About the Opti.Tax Cloud

The digital workspace that’s incredibly easy to use

The Opti.Tax Cloud is a user-friendly online workspace hosted on a German server and accessible via standard web browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. It forms part of Opti.Tax and enables companies and law firms to grant access to staff within their departments, clients and external third parties for specific projects and tasks.

Whether it’s approving a document, filling in missing details or requesting specific paperwork – countless tasks can be carried out via Opti.Tax. No phone calls, faxes, post, printing or scanning are required – in other words, there are no costly or time-consuming media breaks whatsoever.

Data Protection and Security

Non-negotiable: the security of your data

Companies and law firms handle highly sensitive data. As a responsible German company, we have therefore decided to go even further than the strict legal requirements in Germany and the EU.

Whilst Opti.Tax Cloud is not intended for the permanent storage of data, as you might be familiar with from well-known US cloud services, it is technically unavoidable that data is stored temporarily whilst the service is in use.

That is why we have put in place a whole range of the strictest security measures.

  • German servers: Opti.Tax Cloud runs exclusively on high-performance servers in a Munich data centre

  • German provider: hsp is collaborating with Regensburg-based specialist InterNetX

  • Multi-certified: the data centre holds TÜV certification to ISO 27001, ITIL and LPIC standards

  • German law: high standards of data security and strict data protection

  • Additional checks: a separate review by our Data Protection Officer

  • A reliable environment: the highest possible level of reliability

Benefits of the Opti.Tax Cloud

The Opti.Tax Cloud offers a whole range of benefits that will quickly pay off for your business or practice. In particular, collaboration with your departments, clients and external third parties becomes easier, faster and more secure.

Request data

Whether it’s entire documents or a specific piece of information, you can use the Opti.Tax Cloud to request any information you need from your departments or from the client. The client can conveniently process the request via their own login in a web browser. Any additional details are automatically inserted in the correct place. That’s one less source of error.

Have documents released

This applies particularly to law firms: before documents are submitted, clients must give their approval. You can request this directly via the Opti.Tax Cloud. If the client notes any questions or objections in the document, approval is automatically refused and the law firm is notified. The entire process takes place without the need for emails, let alone paper or postage.

Involvement of external third parties

Sometimes your company or law firm needs information not only from internal staff or a client, but also from external service providers and suppliers. Via the Opti.Tax Cloud, anyone can be granted access, with each access level being individually restricted and limited. This enables all relevant parties to work together on a project – within a single software platform.

Chat with extras

Quick questions, a brief comment, a note – so much gets lost in the day-to-day rush. Emails and phone calls take up time and are a source of frustration. That’s why we’ve integrated a smart chat feature into the Opti.Tax Cloud. There, users and case handlers can communicate on a project-by-project basis and attach references as needed, such as documents or links.
