Virtual StB Expo 2021
Exchange, ideas, innovations
Professional optimists are probably fed up with hearing – or rather reading – this by now: 2020 has been, and continues to be, a challenging year for us all. The tax consultancy sector is no exception. Just at a time when news and knowledge-sharing on the digitalisation of practice operations would be particularly valuable, colleagues in the sector find themselves cut off from one another due to the pandemic. A lack of face-to-face contact, cancelled events and changes to day-to-day practice life are making it difficult to exchange ideas. The organisers of the StB Expo have found the perfect solution to all this: the virtual StB Expo on 21 January 2021.
However high hopes were for a swift improvement in the pandemic situation in Germany, the events industry had to observe developments with a realistic outlook. This includes the firm Entwickler GmbH, the organiser of the renowned StB Expo. Just as the changing situation across the entire world of work has triggered a digital boom, so too are the trade fair organisers consistently pursuing a dual-track approach to the future. This means that the in-person trade fair, with its face-to-face interaction, remains an irreplaceable form of industry exchange. However, there is no getting away from digitalisation; it offers not a substitute, but an alternative – an expansion of the range of services available to the entire industry.
Digital alternative
Consequently, the virtual StB Expo will not be a forced digital replica of the analogue trade fair. Instead, the advantages offered by a digital format will be utilised effectively and in the most exciting way possible. The new format of the virtual StB Expo is an online, three-dimensional exhibition space. Visitors can navigate to the virtual exhibition stands using their cursor. Everything looks almost exactly the same as in a real exhibition hall, but visitors are offered a number of exciting interactive opportunities.
Through videos and brochures, you can find out everything you need to know about companies and products. Arranging appointments, setting up a video call straight away, exchanging messages and contact details – all this can be done in just a few clicks. Real people are waiting at the virtual stands, and you can view their contact details. This means you can spend a whole day chatting to colleagues and finding out about new services, software and technologies.

Event on digitalisation
As well as one-to-one discussions with exhibitors, there will be sessions where industry insiders share their experiences and offer insights into the digitalised day-to-day running of a law firm. We therefore recommend finding out in advance about the talks on offer, which will cover exciting innovations, products and services. The virtual StB Expo 2021 is rounded off by an extensive programme of supporting events.
More than 40 exhibitors from all sectors of the Digitalisation of law firms are taking part. This includes hsp, which is presenting its comprehensive taxonomy solution, Opti.Tax, at its virtual exhibition stand. This fully digital presentation offers the Hamburg-based software company the opportunity to showcase the many benefits of its extremely comprehensive software solution. Tax advisers and law firm representatives can ask questions, find out more, arrange a consultation or speak directly with hsp representatives.
Special rate for early bookers
The standard ticket price for the virtual StB Expo 2021 is €60. A modest investment, considering the insights and added value on offer. Not to mention that the ticket is valid for the whole law firm. Nevertheless, Kanzlei Entwickler GmbH would like to reward early birds with an unbeatable discount, particularly at this time of year. Anyone who secures a ticket by 31 December 2020 pays just €39 – at that price, there are no more excuses.
The price includes more than just the trade fair itself. You’ll receive a surprise box with refreshments for the day of the fair. You can spend your lunch break in the virtual chill-out area. You’ll be able to chat via video call not only with the exhibitors, but also with your colleagues. And at the end of the day, visitors will realise the best thing about the virtual trade fair: no aching feet.
