Opti.Tax Release 20.3 is now available

Internal control system and Live-Chart optimised; current regulatory requirements integrated

Hamburg, January 2021. Opti.Tax Release 20.3 is here! This comprehensive update to the tried-and-tested taxonomy solution includes, amongst other things, an updated Internal Control System (ICS) and useful new features in Live-Chart. It also implements the requirements for advisers set out by the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA), which came into force on 1 January 2021, as well as the current special tax rules relating to Covid-19. The Hamburg-based software developer, hsp Handels-Software-Partner GmbH, has thus once again demonstrated how quickly and efficiently it responds to changes.

The latest release also includes the Elster Rich Client (ERiC) for use with Taxonomy 6.3. This means it is now possible to submit documents directly to the ‚Federal Gazette: Publications and Filings‘. The same applies to the submission of e-balance sheets to the tax authorities and digital financial reports to banks.

For many years, hsp has been committed to actively involving its users in the further development of its software solutions. In the Financial Reporting module, specific user requests have therefore once again been implemented, for example in the areas of the fixed asset register, capital account development (KKE) and the transmission of data to the Federal Gazette.

In the area of documentation, too, user feedback provided the key impetus for optimisation: In the new version of Opti.Tax, it is now possible both to link Live Chart processes together without them having to follow one another in the process flow, and to name newly created Live Chart processes directly within the Live Chart module. The name is automatically transferred to the table. A further improvement is that each process step is linked directly within the Live-Chart module to potential risks, an ICS role (Responsible, Accountable, Chargeable, Informed) and the software used. If control measures required for a process step are then documented, the system supports Opti.Tax These are now assigned to the person responsible for the process. In this way, the internal control system is directly linked to the specific operational level. Tasks created are given the status „open“ and are only automatically closed once the person responsible has provided feedback. They are then documented in a way that cannot be altered.

Another new feature in the Documentation module is Taxonomy 4.3. This now also includes the option to document tax-related matters arising from the coronavirus pandemic. This section is now an integral part of the new version and can be completed by the client – including in conjunction with interviews on online platforms, such as kanzleiland.de, to prepare the case documentation.

hsp is also renowned for its high-quality specialist and technical support. To provide even faster and more efficient support, the latest release offers further convenient contact options: in addition to the existing live chat, an automatic ticket creation feature is now also available. Upon confirmation, all relevant data for the support case is transmitted directly. If a user sends a consultation report to hsp for quality control purposes, this is now recorded as a ticket and the user receives a ticket number to facilitate easy tracking of the process.
