With Taxonomy Version 6.0, the tax authorities have expanded the scope of the e-balance sheet. Companies must now submit the fixed assets statement to the tax authorities as part of the e-balance sheet. To avoid having to enter this data manually, Opti.Tax There are three different ways to import the data:

  • Import using OfficeFiler, a modular extension of Opti.Tax
    • OfficeFiler provides Excel-based templates in which the statement of fixed assets can be easily entered and imported into the taxonomy using „drag and drop“.
  • Importing using the CSV import function
    • If the ERP software provides a data export of the fixed assets ledger in CSV format, the fixed assets ledger can be imported via the „Project – Import data“ menu option.
  • Import via the database interface
    • Some ERP providers have chosen to format the fixed assets statement for import into the E-Balance Sheet Project to enable this via a database table.

hsp Handels-Software-Partner GmbH recommends that its Opti.Tax users either enter data manually directly into the taxonomy or import the individual fixed asset values directly

  • for each specific item in the e-balance sheet, namely
    • in mandatory fields
    • in back-up roles
    • on 'Davon' items

Alternatively, it is possible to enter data into summary lines for balance sheet items (direct entry mode) with automatic calculation, provided additional values are entered. The advantages of the recommended approach are that

  • Totals are calculated automatically
  • Required fields must be automatically set to NIL (not in list)
  • it is possible to submit the complete statement of fixed assets (gross) with NIL
  • Data entry notes regarding reconciliation are displayed in the project/live validation.
