Tax adviser, Partner
Müller Blum Tax Consultancy Ltd
Meet our lecturer, Eugen Müller. Eugen runs the course „Production of value-added documentation based on process modelling in digitalisation consultancy“ at the hsp Academy.
Hello everyone. My name is Eugen Müller. I am a tax adviser and partner at Müller Blum Steuerberatungsgesellschaft, based in Fürth. We are a team of 26 people in total, six of whom are qualified professionals. In my private life, I am married and have two wonderful children and a lovely wife.
What is your professional background?
I followed a very traditional path through business studies. I did my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, then started working at a tax consultancy, but very quickly realised that this alone wasn’t fulfilling for me, so I went on to do a Master’s in Business Law whilst working. I then worked for some time at the tax consultancy as a tax assistant, where I learnt a great deal, but subsequently moved on to the corporate accounting department of a large company. There, I had some very enlightening experiences of how such a large corporation operates and how the processes work – seeing how hundreds, even thousands, of people work together so effectively, and ensuring that all deadlines were met. After that, I sat my tax adviser’s exam and, having passed it successfully in 2015, set up my own practice. We are now a team of 26 people, including six advisers – and our partner firm Blum, hence the name Müller Blum Tax Consultancy.
What made you want to get involved as a lecturer on this course?
What particularly motivated me to take on a course here was the fact that I have now been dealing with the subject of processes and process documentation in a practical capacity for several years. In doing so, I am constantly faced with the challenge of explaining why this is important and what the benefits are. Not only to our clients, but also when talking to colleagues in the industry. My aim is to share my knowledge on how to tackle this subject, to make it easier for people to get started and, above all, to highlight that this is a business area of the future.
What can participants expect from your course? What makes it stand out?
My course makes it very clear that process documentation isn’t just something to be filed away, but rather documentation that adds value. I demonstrate the simple steps you can take to get started, and how to use the tools at your disposal to make your life easier. In this way, I aim to show that the task of creating documentation is anything but boring and dry; rather, it is a living project that is never truly finished.
