In future, the balance sheet and the profit and loss account must be submitted electronically to the relevant tax authorities. This data must be submitted in accordance with a prescribed taxonomy and must be received by the tax office by the deadline. For companies whose financial year begins on or after 1 January 2013, this requirement becomes mandatory under the Income Tax Act.
