The latest episode of „hsp live at 11“ featured hsp developer Martin Krause as a guest. He is working on the development of the Opti.Tax Cloud played a crucial role. With his help, we delved into the depths of the Opti.Tax Cloud.

It takes you straight to the screen view. Martin creates a sample client. After creating a sample employee for this client, he invites the employee to register. He then invites the employee via the Opti.Tax Cloud to complete a questionnaire, in this case on the subject of accounting. The employee can now access the questionnaire with a single click and enter their answers.

The tax consultancy can now retrieve the questions and upload them directly into the relevant fields. This works with any type of data, including attachments. If we take another look at the interview – that is, the question tree in the employee’s response mode – we notice something: in the interview that has been created, there is a small question mark after each question.

There, the client’s staff can find quick answers to their questions. This provides an integrated guide through the entire interview, which makes answering the questions much easier. Martin adds that this information is constantly being expanded and updated. In the „Conversation“ section, employees and tax advisers can communicate easily and seamlessly, without having to switch between different channels such as the telephone or email. The integrated messaging system allows for a kind of chat, where questions can be clarified quickly or advice given.

Fixed roles, fixed tasks

External individuals, e.g. from service providers, can also be involved in the processing. To do this, a new cloud user is created in the user management section. Under „Role“, „External processor“ is selected. I can add a custom description for this user so that it is immediately clear who they are and what their role is. If this person is included in the process, they will only ever see the tasks assigned to them. They will not have access to internal or sensitive data.

There will inevitably be instances where employees are no longer required to access the cloud, for example, when they leave the company. However, they cannot simply be deleted from the Opti.Tax Cloud user management system as there are data links in place. In such cases, the accounts can simply be deactivated. All data links will remain intact, but the person will no longer be able to access the Opti.Tax Cloud.

Opti.Tax Cloud is getting better and better

Further plans: There are plans to introduce the option to attach and share documents via footnotes. In addition, the entire approval process is to be integrated into the Opti.Tax Cloud. Another current idea is designed to provide an overview: the dashboard, where users can see at a glance the status of each issue.

Next week sees the start of a three-part livestream series featuring tax auditor Gregor Danielmeyer. The series will cover all aspects of developments and the future of tax audits, from the perspectives of both the audit profession and corporate and tax consultancy. How will audits and their focus areas evolve, how can clients best prepare, and what do tax advisers need to bear in mind?

We’re really looking forward to it and warmly invite you to follow the livestreams and get involved via the chat with your questions, opinions and comments. Click here for the first episode featuring Gregor Danielmeyer on the topic: Digital tax audits – what you need to know.
