September Update: Camunda, customisation and a new workshop

On the last Wednesday in September, hsp CEO Paul Liese and Customer Success Manager Samuel Königshoven met in front of the camera. In the hsp studio, they provided an overview of current projects and the latest news from hsp.

As the first highlight, Paul presented the new live chart view. This is set to be rolled out with the upcoming Release 23.3 in November. The new view runs horizontally from left to right and is based on Camunda, which developer Fabian is currently working on integrating. This means that, in future, process charts can be imported and edited on BPMN.io. The switch to Camunda brings another feature to the programme that many users have been waiting for: swimlanes, which allow all departments involved in the process to be displayed.

In the Money Laundering Act module, there is now a new option to view the audit result for a single client only. Furthermore, it will now be possible to transfer the generated PDF directly to the DATEV DMS by right-clicking in the ‘Documents’ tab, provided the client is linked to the DATEV DMS. This applies to all types of documentation.

Highly recommended: Opti.Tax interface Customise to match the firm’s design

Most licence holders still leave the Opti.Tax interface looking exactly as it does on delivery. However, the design of Opti.Tax can be customised. Law firms can thus incorporate their corporate colours and logo into the interface. This builds trust with clients and creates a more professional impression. At this point, Paul points out that when customising the interface, the firm’s legal notice must be included. This is because clients will perceive the programme interface as a service provided by the firm; therefore, the privacy policy and other relevant documents must originate from the firm.

Email signatures can also be customised. If you prefer a highly personalised look, you can use HTML code. Services such as „Word to HTML“ allow you to convert formatted text created in Word into HTML code. All you then need to do is paste this code into Opti.Tax be inserted at the appropriate point. With these and other functions, almost all components of Opti.Tax can be customised.

Also on the agenda: loads of bugs and a new workshop

The hsp development team is currently working on fixing all reported bugs. Whilst these are not serious software faults that prevent the system from being used, However, maintaining software quality is intended to ensure that the user experience remains as smooth as possible. To gain further insights into this, hsp is organising its next user workshop on 24 October. Anyone interested can register directly with Samuel or contact the HSP.
