Immediately after completing my A-levels, I studied at the Saxony University of Cooperative Education in my home region of Saxony from 2003 to 2006, State Study Academy Leipzig, and gained my first professional experience whilst working part-time at a tax consultancy where my mother was employed as a tax adviser. In addition, whilst I was studying, I was able to work through cases from the tax adviser’s examination alongside my older sister, as she was preparing for her tax adviser’s examination at the time.

After completing my degree, I moved straight to Hamburg in October 2006 to gain a foothold in a medium-sized tax consultancy firm. To this end, I began preparing for my exams in the evenings in 2008, and in February 2010 – at the age of 25 – I was appointed as a tax adviser. I have now gained 15 years’ experience at this medium-sized tax consultancy firm, which specialises in the property sector. During this time, I have provided tax advice to domestic and international property investors and have also liaised with many service providers in the property sector, including numerous property and asset managers. Property tax It has always been an issue.

My son and daughter were born in 2013 and 2016 respectively, and I thoroughly enjoyed both periods of parental leave spent with them; I am now a happy mum and wife. 2022 is certainly set to be a very exciting and innovative year for me, as I will be setting up my own tax consultancy firm. I intend to approach the field of tax consultancy with ease, utilising digital processes and treating clients as equals.
