In the current situation, many companies are wondering whether they can continue to operate as effectively under remote working arrangements. In this context, it is important to scrutinise, review and optimise one’s own processes. The term „digitalisation“ is simply one aspect that helps to drive this process forward.
Last week, a major partner asked us whether we would be able to continue providing support and other services should the authorities impose a work-from-home arrangement.
Here at hsp, we have digitised all our processes. This means we can operate effectively at all times, regardless of whether our staff are in the office or elsewhere. The only thing that would suffer would be face-to-face collaboration and personal interaction. Video tools such as Teams or other systems are only a limited substitute for this.
Identify, review and optimise processes in good time
Back in 2019, we began reviewing and digitising all our processes. We have documented this in a report. First, we assessed the current situation, and then considered how we could improve it – or, to put it another way, in conjunction with tools, software, systems and equipment.
Not least because of the tax authorities’ requirement that every company draw up procedural documentation, we have documented our processes in full. In this context, we can state and confirm that the tax authorities’ requirement for procedural documentation has made our company better. And that we are well prepared for the current situation or for any situations that may lie ahead for us all.

Process documentation – simpler than many people think
Here at hsp, we have invested a great deal of time and energy in the area of process documentation over the past few weeks. The Live Chart module, in particular, helps us to quickly map out and visualise processes – and to understand where problems might arise or where there is scope for optimisation.
In conjunction with the model processes provided by our partner C4B, users gain access to processes that have been benchmarked and which help them to optimise their own processes. So, rather than having to go to the trouble of working out for themselves what could be done better, users can simply follow best practice. And in this way, they can easily bring the advice and experience of others into their own organisation.
Now is your chance!
That is why we do not see our product merely as software for creating and maintaining procedural documentation. Instead, it enables users to document all the processes within a company and, almost as an added bonus, to produce clear, watertight procedural documentation.
So, as you can see, every situation presents an opportunity. We’re here to support you – both with our product and our services. And, as always, we look forward to hearing your feedback.
