Electronic submission of the e-balance sheet will become compulsory. This spells the end of paper-based annual accounts. For financial years beginning after 31 December 2012, the e-balance sheet must be submitted electronically. Many small and medium-sized enterprises have not yet realised the seriousness of the situation. To be properly prepared, it is essential to have the right strategy in place to take adequate measures in good time. Structures and processes must be adapted to ensure that the submission to the tax authorities runs smoothly.
