„Wir zusammen“ is a network of German companies dedicated to bringing together social initiatives and supporting the integration of refugees. The aim of the initiative is to encourage companies to drive forward the cause of integration on a long-term basis. hsp is on board!

A network for refugees

The member companies – now numbering 226, including 19 of the 30 DAX-listed groups, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises from various sectors – have brought their efforts together under the umbrella of the network, thereby sending a clear signal, together with their employees, that they are committed to helping people who have been forced to flee war and persecution.

The „www.wir-zusammen.de“ offers not only transparency and guidance but also exemplary approaches to the active integration of refugees. It aims to inspire other companies to take proactive steps themselves, together with their workforces. Here are some facts and achievements of the initiative.

• Number of jobs created: In total, the members have created more than 10,000 jobs for refugees since the network was founded.
• Mentors: Over 18,000 employees are actively involved in helping refugees within their companies.
• The most common mentoring programmes on offer: taster days at the company, language tuition, assistance with dealing with the authorities, and much more.
• Most common countries of origin: Syria, Afghanistan, Eritrea
