Fascinating presentations at the hsp Partners’ Day in Düsseldorf

On 24 September 2018, hsp’s OEM Partner Day took place in Düsseldorf. With engaging presentations and a wealth of information, it was an informative event centred on the topic of taxonomy.

A partner day dedicated to digitalisation

As at the last OEM Partner Day in 2016, there was plenty of new and up-to-date information on the subject of taxonomy this year too. As the requirements in the digital finance sector become more complex year on year, there were both discussions and presentations on the new challenges in the field of Documentation in accordance with GoBD, as well as its implementation and capabilities in Opti.Tax.

However, just as with the documentation options, the Digital Financial Report (DiFin) is an issue in the context of annual accounts. Mr Liese explained exactly how hsp is implementing the new requirements in Opti.Tax Release 19 requirements and can thus provide customers with a valuable tool. There were also various presentations on other topical issues. For this year’s Partner Day, speakers were invited to give expert talks on audit-relevant procedural documentation, to examine the Digital Financial Report in greater detail, and to explain what the GDPR what this now means for many businesses, and how the first few weeks of the GDPR’s implementation have gone.

Alice Siegert, a lawyer and deputy head of department at a tax office in Hamburg, previously served for many years as head of the external audits division. In addition, Ms Siegert was a lecturer (on the German Fiscal Code) for the tax adviser training programme in Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Berlin. She continues to work as a speaker for the Hamburg Association of Tax Advisers (Steuerberaterverband Hamburg e.V.), at Bucerius Law School and in various working groups; she has also published a number of articles in well-known specialist journals.

Hendrik Sievers is Head of the IT and Media Law Practice Group and primarily advises companies on data protection, e-commerce and contract law. Hendrik Sievers’ areas of specialisation also include distribution law and competition law. In addition, Hendrik Sievers is Managing Director of the beck Service GmbH and works there as an external data protection officer for several companies.

Henning Röthemeier is Head of the Credit Analysis and Securities Division at the Deutsche Bundesbank. A graduate in business administration, Henning Röthemeier has been with the Bundesbank since 1990 and has successfully held the following positions: banking supervision, assistant to the Executive Board of the Landeszentralbank NRW, head of banking audits and head of the Credit Analysis and Securities Division.
