A partnership for optimal point-of-sale data archiving

As a member of the DFKA, hsp GmbH wishes to incorporate the health insurance taxonomy and the aforementioned functions into the product Opti.View integrate and offer a simple and cost-effective solution for archiving till data. With Opti.View, the data is displayed and analysed in a structured manner. Data access in accordance with GoBD (Z3) for the tax authorities is provided. The integrated interface to InfoZoom gives you and the auditor an overview, whilst special audit routines – particularly for till data – enable you to analyse critical data records in advance.

In a series of provisions and guidelines, the Federal Ministry of Finance established uniform standards and defined the requirements for the proper conduct of accounting processes (GoBD). As part of this, new standards were also set for the basic technical requirements of cash register processes.

Setting new standards for checkout processes

In February/March 2016, the DFKA e.V. decided to set up a working group on the topic of „Protection against tampering with basic digital records“ in electronic cash registers and accounting systems, with the aim of developing a standardisation of the daily closing procedure and individual transaction records (cash register data taxonomy).

On this basis, the following objectives are to be achieved simultaneously:

  • Consistent data provision for audit purposes through clearly defined individual cash transactions and cash-in-hand reconciliations, enabling a forward and backward audit between the source records and the entries in the general ledger (financial accounting).
  • Enabling the transfer of all data recorded in the relevant system to an archiving system, with the taxonomy serving as the semantic description of the data records.
  • Enabling the structured till data to be processed (further) as automatically as possible within the financial accounting system, as well as supporting the till operator in carrying out completeness and plausibility checks.

Opti.View ensures compliance with the new standards and converts cash register data into the taxonomy. Find out more about our Opti.View software by click here.
