On 17 October, the Opti.Tax version 22.0.21 has been published. It once again brings with it numerous new features and improvements. In „hsp live at 11“, Paul walked viewers through the most important changes.

First of all, Paul discusses the new feature whereby live reports can now be saved after being translated using DeepL. Anyone who creates a paid DeepL account receives a key. This must be entered in Opti.Tax under „Settings“ (Network connections -> DeepL) to activate the feature. In the report view, under the „Save as“ option, there is now a new menu item: „Save PDF translated into English as an attachment“. With a single click, the report is now saved in English. This feature is also available in all other modules of Opti.Tax is available. If you require a different language, please contact hsp Support.

Second change: At the bottom of the „Documents“ tab, all plots of land are marked with a cottage icon and listed. Attached to each plot are all the documents relating to that particular plot. Another new feature is that, during batch validation, the plots to be validated can be selected in advance. Clicking the Elster button brings up a list of all available plots in the project. You can then tick or untick each plot.

Batch processing is becoming even more flexible

Another new feature is that, when changing the status of several plots of land at once, the confirmation message for the respective batch operation can be suppressed. To do this, you must tick the box once when the message appears, so that it is no longer displayed for the duration of the current project. Next point: The progress of the plots is displayed in the client and project navigation as a pie chart on the master data project. A pie chart is displayed in project management. If you move the mouse pointer over the icon, a detailed chart showing the project status appears.

The next item in the release notes is: The details regarding the file reference number and tax number have been removed from the overview of properties in the master data project. Paul explains why the hsp team decided to do this. The situation varies from one federal state to another. In some cases, the property’s tax number must be provided; in others, the file reference number. When entering an address in the project, the tax number and file reference number were never listed, although they were shown in the property data overview. This has caused some confusion here and there.

Fine-tuning to ensure a smooth workflow

Another change: for agricultural and forestry businesses, the cadastral districts and parcels of land are hidden from the land assets. In addition, the data import from ALKIS files has been revised. To do this, Paul creates a new project, goes to „Agriculture and Forestry“ in the bottom left-hand corner and clicks on the green plus icon in the project view. The option „Import from ALKIS file“ appears. The import can be carried out here.

As a small but useful new feature, property data reorganisation can now also be carried out from the property overview. To do this, right-click in the overview and select the relevant menu option. Finally, Paul explains the following point: The role of „client users“ can be changed to „external user“. The problem up to now was that, when the role „client employee“ was assigned, the person could only be linked to one project. With the role „external user“, this restriction does not apply.
