In an interview with Mr Markus Hansen, we find out why Tyskrevision relies on hsp software and how it has proved its worth in practice.
The interview in full
Hello Mr Hansen, we are delighted to be conducting a short interview with you today. What does your law firm or company specialise in?
We provide advice to businesses and private individuals with cross-border activities and income, particularly between Germany and Denmark. We have a large number of clients from Denmark who wish to establish a presence in the German market or have already done so. We advise them in both German and Danish, which is a distinctive feature of our tax practice – namely, that we are also able to provide advice in Danish.
So you specialise in Danish clients?
Across the entire Scandinavian market, but particularly the Danish market.
How did you come across hsp GmbH, or how did you first hear about hsp GmbH?
We came across the company whilst searching online. We had been looking into the subject of GDPdU-compliant data and, after extensive research, we came across hsp GmbH and including the Opti.View product.
Right, so you found us via an internet search after all – and did you see our website first, or did you land on a landing page?
No, your website was amongst the first results that caught our attention.
Ah, great. May I ask what you’re currently achieving – or have achieved – with our Opti.View software?
Opti.View enables us to convert the CSV files we receive from clients into GDPdU format and thus make them available to the tax office. But the InfoZoom component, which Mr Schönwaldt showed us, also offers us many more possibilities to really analyse the data sets, carry out a preliminary check and, if necessary, point out to the client during the preliminary discussion that certain matters might raise concerns during the audit.
Opti.View lives up to expectations
Has the software therefore met your expectations, and would you recommend our software to others?
Right from the start, it met our expectations quite well, even without any training. Everything in Opti.View was very intuitive to use. It was only through Mr Schönwaldt’s training that we got to know the InfoZoom component better and learnt how to use it. It was certainly very helpful to receive the training and induction on InfoZoom and to see what options are available, exactly what you can filter with it, what criteria you can use for analysis, and all the different things you can check using the tool. The training was genuinely very helpful. We are now in the process of integrating its potential into our day-to-day business operations and familiarising our clients with it.
So, it seems the training was a success. Do you have anything to compare it with? Would you say that, compared to other software providers, our training was particularly efficient and effective?
It was very helpful that we were able to address specific issues within our own company; in other words, we were able to provide data sets in advance, which we then tackled, processed, checked and analysed together during the training session. It was really very helpful that we weren’t just given abstract, pre-prepared examples, but that we were actually able to work on our own data.
Has the use of our software perhaps brought you new clients or opened up additional areas of business for you?
We’re working on that right now. That’s why, back then, we searched online for a programme that would help us with the GDPdU-compliant data generation has been helpful, and that is how we came across Opti.View and, consequently, InfoZoom. We are currently in the process of improving the quality of the service we provide to our clients so that we can analyse data sets together with them to better prepare them for audits. Expanding our business and improving our service therefore go hand in hand.
Rating: Recommended
Would you therefore be able to recommend our software to others?
Yes, I certainly would. Precisely because it’s very intuitive to use right from the start. You don’t really need an in-depth introduction to Opti.View to be able to use it. It all felt very intuitive to my technical mind. It’s really handy to be able to work with it right from the start, even before the training.
So it’s definitely a product you can recommend to your clients.
That's right.
That’s good to know. Last but not least, we’d love to hear how we can improve, or whether there are still a few areas where you might say, „The software’s quite good, but there are a few things here and there that could be improved“. After all, we’re always striving to improve our products and make them even more effective. If you have any ideas or can offer us any suggestions, we’d naturally be very grateful.
The first thing that springs to mind is the training we received from Mr Schönwaldt – as I said, it was very enjoyable and it was helpful that we were able to work on our own examples – but it would be good to receive a set of notes, a brief summary or a training manual as well. Otherwise, I can’t think of anything else.
Well, that’s certainly another approach and an idea we can work on. Mr Hansen, thank you very much for the interview.
You're welcome.
